Over the past decade, the Min group has pioneered and transformed stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy, establishing it as a powerful platform for visualizing the chemistry of living systems. We continue to explore innovative ways to advance these technologies and translate their capabilities into industrial, biomedical, and clinical applications. At the same time, the group is currently drawing new inspiration from the exciting and unexpected chemistry that emerges at water interfaces. This interfacial perspective extends naturally to microplastics, whose surfaces can drive environmentally and biologically relevant chemistry in water. In parallel, we have leveraged our SRS platform to enable increasingly sensitive detection and chemical identification of micro- and nanoplastics in environmental and biological samples.
